The purpose of the Cyber Security Skills Taskforce is to stimulate initiatives to build the cyber security workforce.  In particular, the focus will be to provide a clear pathway between the education sector and industry for the provision of cyber security professionals.

Work scope

The Taskforce has been established to:

  1. Develop a pathway between the tertiary sector and industry for the development of a sub-degree level cyber security qualification (working with ITP NZ and NZQA)
  2. Create a roadmap of medium and longer term initiatives to increase the cybersecurity skills workforce, including the structures necessary to provide additional pathways
  3. Work with the other Forum working groups on actions related to cyber security skills.
